Our Last Goodbye....

I am sitting at work right now and thinking about how many goodbyes we have said lately! Goodbyes can be good and goodbyes can be sad... depending on how positive we might be. Last night my bestie Alexis put together a going away/birthday party for me! We went to dinner at Zupas and she had made cheesecake for Ashlee's, Kathryn's and myselfs birthday cake:) I am pretty sure that Chelsey and I ate 90% of the cheesecake! As dinner wrapped up and 9:00 PM came I said a final goodbye to my sister-n-law Kelsee. She and I have become so close these past years. She is a blessing to our family- it is so fun to be able to go to the temple and see her and Zach there! I just love it! I said goodbye to Ashlee and Kathryn.. and also Heather. Monday night I went to lunch with Ashley Greenwell and we said our final goodbyes :( I know that it is only four months but living out of state and knowing that you can't just -go to lunch- with a good friend is really sad for me! I hate saying goodbye to family and friends no matter the length of time that you are gone..

Another goodbye that has been bittersweet was saying goodbye to Grandma Pugh. She was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago and recently came down with Pneumonia. The past week has been hard for her and her last moments were even harder. It has been comforting to see the support of the Pugh family and how they have all come together in this time of need! Marilyn- Mark's Aunt- told me that she had finished some temple work for close family members of Grandma Pugh and they are waiting for her anxiously on the other side. I have not been old enough to remember the experience of a loved one passing on. I say that it is bittersweet because it is so hard to see them leave but through the Gospel we know that we will be able to see them again! I am grateful for that knowledge we have- it makes these times much more peaceful.

Today is also my last day at the accounting firm! I have so much enjoyed working with this firm.. I am sad to leave the friends I have made behind for the next few months! They are wanting me back so hopefully during this coming fall tax deadline I will be right back in this comfy chair:)

The next few days are going to be busy getting all packed and ready to move to Seattle! We are going to be living in Tacoma... comparable to Utah, Seattle is like Salt Lake City and Tacome is like West Valley. We are in a pretty "ghetto" area of Washington, BUT, we are 3 miles from the shoreline and a few miles from a golf course- Mark is pretty excited about that! We leave May 3rd and will be back the end of August! When we arrive in Tacoma and are in our new place I will take pictures and post them!! Wish us luck! Goodbye Utah, we will see you soon!

Welcome Home Captain:)

Marks brother David has been in Afghanistan for a few months and was finally able to come home for a few days before going back out for six months! He is a Captain and Doctor in the U.S. Airforce:) We were fortunate to be able to have lunch and visit with him about his experiences... after two hours he headed back to the airport- homebound to his base in Las Vegas.

hahaha Darren just being funny:)

It has been fun having David be part of the U.S. Airforce! The air shows down in Vegas are a blast- we are looking forward to the next one! We are so proud of him and are blessed to live in the United States!

We also took Dave over to see sweet Grandma Pugh as she is in her last moments. It is comforting to know that her friends and family are waiting anxiously for her in Heaven! We will miss her so much but we know that she will be much happier in the presence of our Lord:)

There & Back Again...

It was my new best friend's birthday and we went to Tepanyaki for dinner:) I was stoked that we went to my favorite place to eat.. it was so fun having 11 people all around one table! Our chef was hilarious too.. we could not stop laughing the whole night! After dinner we went and saw the movie 'Date Night'. Happy Birthday Chels! I love you!

This last Saturday we also went down to the Gateway for the Salt Lake Half-Marathon! Chelsey, Crystal and Cami were all running the race.. they all did so well! Chelsey ran the half in under 2 hours, and Crystal beat her time by 20 minutes!

The tax deadline FINALLY ended and my parents were off to California! So we have been house sitting for them:) Mark is loving the jacuzzi tub and king size bed.. he fills the tub up every night! On Sunday night we decided to have a few friends over to roast marshmallows and hot dogs because it was such a nice night!
Moving to Seattle is a love/hate thing for me! People always ask if I am excited to be moving in 2 weeks- I am stoked to live in such a pretty place with my husband- what an adventure- BUT i am so sad to leave my friends and family for the summer.. I know! I know! It is only 4 months, but I hate leaving the people that I love! We pray every night that Mark and I and our team are successful this summer; we know through our faith and hard work that we will be blessed. I look forward to August when the summer is over and we are back with our family:)

-Easter & Birthdays-

Easter has been so very fun.. especially since there has been two birthdays as well! Easton and Paizlee were born within a week of eachother and turned 2 this year!
As life goes on and years pass.. i still wish that i could have my own Easter basket and race outside to get all the candy and toys:) this year i so wanted the Tinkerbell cup that the girls got :( i am determined to buy myself one!!
I loved General Conference this weekend too:) it is always nice to have two completely lazy days and have motivating and inspiring words to hear. The talks listened to are direct words from our Heavenly Father- it can't get any closer than that. LOVE it:) The girls had a fun time Saturday night while the boys were at the Priesthood session. These traditions i hope to carry on into my family too...
Paizlee is so darling! Her personality is so cute.. i love how the boys already look after their younger sister and she fits right in. She is such a daddy's girl and she is Jakes princess! We love her!

Oh!! And the Crescent Chicken was so YUMMY! Mark ate 6 of  the 8 rolls! You have to try them:)
